Letter reporting that unless bilge keels are fitted as a matter of urgency to the steam tug “Croft” the vessel is at significant risk of capsizing, which may terminate with the loss of life. Advising further this is done while the “Croft” is presently in dry dock for repairs. [Signed R. T. Williamson]. Letter strongly advising that while the steam tug “Croft” is in dry dock for repairs, bilge keels be fitted at the cost of £87.00 as there is considerable risk to the vessel in big seas. These should be been fitted when the vessel was built. [Signed C. E. Baldwin].
